Let's not turn this one into a battle over PHA, ok?

Did anyone have a nice granny who loved to read poems to them as a child?

Here is one from Robert Louis Stevenson that always was a favorite of mine:  (Think Shorthorns,OK?)

The friendly cow all red and white,
I love with all my heart:
She gives me cream with all her might,
      To eat with apple-tart.

She wanders lowing here and there,
      And yet she cannot stray,
All in the pleasant open air,
      The pleasant light of day.

And blown by the winds that pass
And wet with all the showers,
She walks among the meadow grass
      And eats the meadow flowers.

The End
Lets all take a deep breath and enjoy the day!

What we can't think herefords because we haven't had a good argument about dwarfism for awhile. ;D One of my favorite things about raising shorthorns is that it seems that at every show we go to some sweet old man comes up to me and tells me about the SH cow they had growing up. They always call them durhams then proceed to about when they were little the family durham cow provided milk for the whole family.

my grammy used to always say to us kids, "i'm the luckiest grandmother in the whole world cause i have the best looking grandkids"

she used to always talk about her daddy.  i've got some of her books he gave her when she was around 6 or so, mostly extremely abridged classics.

she loved to play the piano, and could play past the age of 95.

sigh, thanks cowz

Notice the poem says FRIENDLY cow, so it HAS to be Hereford. Oh and she probably has the new shaker syndrome.  ;D
