Subject: THOMAS JEFFERSON WARNED US

He knew what would happen!!

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe .
Thomas Jefferson

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
Thomas Jefferson

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes.  A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.
Thomas Jefferson

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the
government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
Thomas Jefferson

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:

'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than
standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control
the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and
corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all
property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers
conquered.'

red....well all assume its reference to us as "work"and the recipients of welfare/ food stamps/ unemployment benifits/ free medical ect  in reality......... dont you think his interputation of " work "  in thomas jerrersons time might not exactually represent a ceo or ecex, making 6000 times yearly income than the "workers" of his "job"?  what would he have done to stop that?
green could that just a well represent the 401 monies and stock options "script" monies they "promise us now "as the workers" ?  what do yo think jefferson do about that?
blue..do you think jefferson would think bushs creation of the "homeland" security would be considered as a threat to a succesful " refreshment" effort thats needed from time to time ?  what do you think his stand on regemented governemt armies to quell homeland "problems?, as refrenced before..." the new kent state police"...do you think jefferson would say its time for both patorit and tryants blood to flow...or would he say we missed it?          jbarl

torch...my point is his words are his words are far from timeless......"work" is not the same...."workingman" means something completely different today....lets not forget we had slaves to do the "work" then ....the guy behind the  the shovel/hoe/ or horse didnt even count then...correct?...just like today.....maybe jefferson did represent his party well....making money when yoiu dont have to pay for labor is a bit different than today. wouldnt you say ? the "workers back then were the owner/ farmer..scaleman ...retailer ..and a banker ...quite a corporation huh?  the work he was refering to didnt include "work" as we know it today ,  that was done by slaves...the low guy on the pole in his time was the scaleman.....and he got plenty of help from his congress...but still felt it necessary to cronicle the words??....jbarl

Does anyone work like our ancestors  did 150 years ago? I didn't know everyone back then owned slaves. Do you consider a "workingman" of today someone who works forty hours a week?  get a break every 2 hrs.? an hour for lunch? When was the last time anyone saw a non-mexican landscape crew? In the southwest anyway. Are the Mexicans of today the slaves of yesterday? Obama is about to make them all legal citizens. Maybe then they can climb out of the cellar and start getting those valuable Union jobs. What a country!

yes the mexicans "have" been the slaves....still are....say what the last 7/10 yrs....just 2 yrs ago we "had" to have them to fill the jobs americans wouldnt do...back then bush wanted to "organize" them and give them " guest worker visa's)  ( union cards??? ) but only if they work....who would have thought 2 yrs later the unemployments a record highest its ever been....you want illegai's or unions to gone first....cant have both....some ones got to do the work...we gave it away....what was it ross perot said..." that  loud rumbling noise you here.....is our amercian jobs and industry  being sucked  out of the country "....i never heard the fart....but i sure do smell the smell        jbarl
