I know for in a hurry you can add beetpulp, feed a little alfalfa, or any of the filling products prior to your show, but fat is something that takes time.
Long term, we have fed Stabilized Rice Bran, Glu-coat and some barley for fat, and used a good 3 way grain hay the last 2 months really helped them fill out the gut.
I have also fed Oat-Mo in the past to keep them full and will add some fat, Ground oat hay and molasses, along with their feed.

A good Feed Program which never changes.

We did take the easier doing steer off of it the last 2 months, he did not need it. He was one that just feeding regular was enough. They started 5 pounds apart and finished 130 apart It would have been even worse with out the Glu-coat. (the steer it helped had some attitude issues that really subsided about 2 weeks after we started feeding it)
Keep it away from the dogs, they ate 2 of the plunging spouts before I put it up high so they could not get to it.
