You have worked all winter/spring on a good coat of hair and you have it on your steer.  You have 90 days to show and you need to add "fat" or more cover to your steer to be ready to compete.  You aren't using specialized show feeds (except calf manna or showbloom and mineral program), but a custom mix %, How do you add fat without burning the hair you have worked so hard to get and still get the cover you need?

POWER UP from sunglo it is a pelleted fat supplement. it has Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids to enhance hair coat and condition. you can get a 40% pellet or a 26% nugget. if it was me(which i am) i would go (which i did) with the 40% pellet. it has a smell that you wont like much but the calves love it. feed it 1/4% to 1/2% of their body weight. we are also trying their product called fresh energy in our feeds that have dusty hay in it it, it's working great to keep the dust down and ad some energy to the ration. good luck
