Thanks afhm for asking, and Cows for getting us connected with regards to Aksarben. Only got to watch showmanship and really enjoyed it. The Thomas girl from South Dakota won the showmanship contest. Her Charolais heifer was also quite impressive. All the top young people appeared to do a great job showing and presenting their cakves.

Cally won the Charolais show.  From what I remember Nick Sullivan won Supreme with his Chi, Elder won the Commercial and Faber was reserve.  It was either a Sullivan or an O'Sullivan that won the Shorthornd.  Settles won the Herefords.  I think a Sullivan won the Maines.  Have seen conflicting reports on who won the steer show.

  Holly England from Mt. Ayr, Iowa champion steer. She was third place @ Ia state Fair and Tyler Faber Reserve Grand steer. He stood 5th over all @ Ia. State Fair. Feigus & Russell's did't show. I think that they are shooting for KC. It pays so much better. Champion steer brought 25000. @ Aksarben
