My daughter has been showing cattle for a couple years now. We are considering making the trip from NE Iowa to Aksarben next year. I have never been there, have heard great things, and would like to give my daughter the oportunity to show there next year if we find the right calf this fall. My question, as I read through the rules, and information available on the website, is the exibitor the only one allowed to fit the calf? I guess I would just like a clarification - does that mean as a parent, I can't help clip, blow, or bone legs? I just would like some clarification from someone who knows.
I understand wanting to keep professional fitters out, similar to our State Fair, but if this is the case, I guess I better get to pushing her to do more of the clipping and fitting herself so she can learn more before next year.
