I know conventional wisdom would say Alias shoudl sire heifers who are good mothers, but can anyone confirm this? Enough milk? Easy keeping? I know half is the cow but what are your experiences.

Thanks in advance...

we had an alias cow and she was a superb mother and more than enough milk,  she even milked a couple other calves every now and then.  One day I went out and she had three on the teat and she stood as still as if they were all her own.  Her calf preformed exceptional.  My only concern on the mom is as she got older she got a little straighter on her hind wheels.

I had an Alias heifer calved last year and the same thing when I would go to the pasture there would be two calves nursing. She had plenty of milk and has held condition very well.Just had one but thought about using him to raise more replacement heifers.
