These are both Friction sons.  These are interesting bulls as they go away from the Total Play, Heat Seeker, Heat Wave genetics back to the Sugar Ray, Full Throttle, Full Flush line.

I think these are two very significant bulls to be considered.  What you think?

They may not have one good calf! Go with something more proven like Monopoly or Hairy Bear or Johnny Walker Red! Good Luck!

B/C then you're right back into all of those genetics that he was saying that it would be nice to consider getting away from.
I personally would try Amen b4 Shake & Bake. There just haven't been enough good Shake & Bakes for a bull that has been available for a couple of years, so why not try the next "great" Friction son?

Brad Hook said he thought Jigsaw was the best Friction son in his interview the other night.

First of all-these 2 bulls are almost polar opposites in portions of thier type-Eg-length of body-frame-and all the basics. The few calves I saw posted from Shake n Bake looked alot like him-the black hiefer in the picture looks alot like him-and clearly has some performance-she got grow, and correct me -but I dont think there are a ton of calves out of him.Shows some consistancy, if thats what you are looking for-To me JMO-hes a good bull-they are thick-seem to be pretty correct-and (at least the hiefer) looks like she could make a cow, if she isnt a free martin etc-  O0

I think Shake and Bake needs to be bred to a smaller framed type cow as he is not small.  Amen probably will work on some more powered up females.  Both seem to be nice bulls.

Could calves out of Amen be registered as either Maines or Chis or is he too crossed up?

Yes Mark, that was us. We have a very interesting bull calf this year out of Shake & Bake that my son will probably put a picture of on here after he gets a little age on him.
