My grandfather, who lives in and on his 4240 and 4020, Had a total left hip replacement 4 weeks ago.  He is 71 and has had his left knee and his other hip replaced.  Yesterday we were busy cutting hay during milking, and there are three people that man the haybine: Me, my cousin, and my grandpa.  And guess who I was milking cows with.  Not my grandpa.

So after milking was done I walked in by my grandpa who had now finished cutting hay.  I asked him how he was doing, and he said great, he said his hip started feeling better as soon as he got on that damn tractor.

I guess this just shows the will and stuberness of our elders.  And there desire to drive a tractor, even if the younger folks have to help them on and off.

Good for your Grandpa.  I've had both hips replaced, the first one when I was only 31.  It is amazing how much better you feel when they start to heal than before the surgery.
