I've been told that you should worm your calves with different kinds of wormers every other time you worm them.  Is this true, and if so, why?  Can you use different kinds of pour on or do you worm orally?  How about injectables?  Any advice would be appreciated! :)))

We try and alternate every once and awhile, we worm every month, but switch from pour on to oral wormers every 2 months or so.

They say to alternate so that the pest do not build up resistance to the wormer so you are supposed to use different families of wormers you can look it up on the labels of the wormers. The form really doesnt matter which one its just what you prefer, we try to inject it cause then we know its in them but if we are in a hurry and need to do a bunch of cows in a short amount of time we will pour them cause we can just run them in a catch pen and 2 or 3 guys just start pouring the cows
