Any benefit to this?

Is there any benefit to using more than 1 straw of semen when breeding?  Does that increase the chance of conception?  I am talking about a cow who showed a great standing heat in the evening, and breeding her the next morning.

No advantage if 1) it's good quality, 2) it's placed at the right time, and 3) it's put in the right place.

Now, for someone less than proficient (like me), maybe two straws increases the chances of them getting semen just past the cervix.

Not if your using both straws at the same time, there could be some advantage to breeding at two different times. For example we have one cow we breed at 12 hours and then at 18 cause she seemed to do better ai'ing here later in her cycle.
