How far do you want to travel for a show?  Minnesota has a show in July.  It is the West Central Minnesota Junior livestock show.  We had a fairly decent showing last year.  I believe right around 100 head and they were not just run of the mill farm animals.  They were very competitive cattle.  I know Iowa isnt to terrible far.  Also I know my mom tells me that she believe the SD State fair has an open class show with some pretty decent cattle.  She grew up in SD and said she believes the state fair has moved from Huron to Brookings, SD which itnt to terribly far from the Iowa border.  Just a couple suggestions.  You may want to check southern Minnesota as well.  I know some of the counties down there do Jackpot shows open to anyone.  Just some suggestions.
