I have this one straw in my tank, don't remember where it came from.  Seeing how we don't raise polled herefords would there be any interest in it from anyone.  He is an OLD bull 1977 according to the Hereford site.

I remember 55J very well. He was a huge  bull...weighing close to 3000 lb when shown as a two year old. It seems like one generatiion away from the old Advancer bull ( the sire of 55J) worked pretty well. I do not remember an Advancer son that turned out to be a sire of great cattle.  Most of them never produced any offspring as good as they were themselves. I remember an ad Beartooth had in which the caption read.... ``Beartooth Advancer 55J... the bull with sage brush clearance``. Obviously this was in the era of yard stick cattle.

Thank you very much.  That is all I needed to know.  I was toying with throwing it in one of my commercial Angus just for fun but hay is expensive enough without feeding elephants.  I do believe it might hit the trash can.
