Biggest "Deal" in 2010 ???

So, we are nearing the end of another year that was filled with ups and downs and it got me thinking ...... (easy now)   
What is the biggest of the Ups and the biggest of the Downs?  I know this will vary for some quite a bit and it could be broken up into locally, regionally or even nationally.  Basically, could be anything.  Just curious.

Future Breeder, That is the first thing that crossed my mind also.  I would add....

Up-  Live cattle is trading at near record levels.
Down- Smallest cattle on feed in the US since 1952.

Up-  Feeder cattle prices are up.
Down-  Corn prices are also up and cattle feeders will have near record feed prices.

Up-  I have seen the most quality show calves I have ever seen.
Down-  Less and less kids are getting into or continueing showing cattle.

That down is true around our area.  unfortunately !!
