I am very pleased to report that Birdtail G Gus 1W will be walking the pastures at Anwender Cattle Co. ( hilltop) and Horseshoe Creek ( justintime) as we were able to finalize a deal to purchase Gus from the Achesons. We have always been impressed with the calves we have seen from this bull and when we saw he was available we did not hesitate to try to work a deal on him.

He is homozygous polled and sires calves with outstanding performance. While it is very important that calves be born unassisted, it is also important that they have excellent performance especially to weaning. Gus is a massive mature bull, however he is extremely easy fleshing and he is passing this trait on to his offspring.  His daughters are making excellent brood cows.
Gus is closely related on his sire's side of the pedigree to Star P Matrix, who was also a herd sire for both ACC and HC. We feel that Matrix did everything we could have asked for in our herds, and we feel that Gus 1W will do the same.

JIT, do us all a favour and get him collected for export at Genex/CRI!

Nice, solid, appendix free bull who's genetics I would only be too happy to be able to get my hands on!

It's great to see this bull is going to be used in two great herds. I think he will be well known by the time his career is over. It makes a lot of sense to me when a breeder can get a proven bull. Another proven bull that is heading from Alberta to Manitoba is Eionmor Ideal 82T (from Eionmor to Hatfield).
