I have A 2 day old calf that has bloodshot eyes and in one of his eyes there is a white for and it's pretty cloudy. Could he have gotten pink eye already? What dosage of la 200 should I give and how much?
The bloodshot eyes are not uncommon in newborns especially if it the cow was pushing hard. Do you mean there is a white film??? Shouldn't be pinkeye yet - a photo of the eye would really help.
I had the white film in a calf's eyes's. Called the vet and he said the calf probably didn't get good enough colostrum. I checked the cow and she didn't have good milk. I caught mine too late.
