bloody discharge after breeding

I have a heifer that we ai'd 2-3 days ago, we see a bloody discharge.  Does it mean anything?

Means you have good eyes! ;D Actually a bloody discharge approximately 36 hours after breeding means that the heifer was in heat and did ovulate -it is perfectly normal -  doesn't mean anything in regards to whether she will stick or not. SOme females have so little you don't see it and in some it is quite obvious. Hope that answers your question, if not get back to us!

That is what I thought but couldn't remember.  I am new to doing the AI'ing and my 13 year old is pretty sure I screwed it up.  He's just have to give old dad the benefit of the doubt.

Let's hope the fertility fairy makes sure that this heifer is pregnant as evidence to the 13 yo that Dad is cool!
