We have a show in 27 days and we are tryign to decide when would be a good time to breed her. The sooner the better for us, but we want her safe in calf, What do you think?

I've found that when they're bred they really get that bloom. I sure wouldn't wait any longer. I try to hit Feb-early March for show heifers. Plus no heats!!!!!

I completely agree with red.  I have both of my show heifers due in January.  I always want my heifers bred early because the heat can really mess up a breeding season especially with heifers.  The bloom is an added bonus!
