Did anyone at the many Junior National shows see the display for the "Breeds of Cattle" book?  I ordered it for my dad.  It is truly a wonderful book, much more than nice pictures.  I would recommend it if you are looking for a nice gift for the person who has everything.

I saw an advertisement for that book on RFD-TV. I really liked it and thought it would be real neat to have and it seemed to have good info. The only thing that held my mom back was the price. She thought it was pretty steep.

already asked for the 1st edition for christmas.

some of the pictures are plates from the guy who did the audobon series which i've posted before of examples of mantcelle cattle.  THAT original book is EXTREMELY hard to find.  in a bound form, it's probably worth 5k or so.

I just read where there was a 2nd edition of the book "Breeds of Cattle" first written by Herman Purdy and completed by John Dawes, but I haven't seen it. The 1st edition is absolutely awesome with fabulous pictures and plates - great gift as cowz said - can't wait to see it
