What is Buck?  We have a really good Buck X Angus cow and you hear alot about Buck cows?

He is a older Simmental bull that sires a lot of good cows.

the older simmi bull that afhm is talking about is Leachman Lucky Buck7049C, reg # is 1704719, he has sired some very good cattle, like GW Lucky Dice 187H, Lucky Strike 147G ( who sired Lucky one), GW lucky Charm 665K ( who sired Lucky Man - current ABS bull), we have had some pretty good industry/feedlot steers out the lucky lines, they are very good for comerical cattle producers  and the females are pretty nice too, JMO

[Specht Simmentals]

It may be Lucky Buck, but it may also be a black polled Simmental bull called Buck that was born in '81.  He was owned by NBI and widely used for a number of years.  You'll still find some cows out of him now and again, but it's much easier to find him 5 or 6 generations back in Simmental pedigrees.
