Building a white steers leg?

How do you build a white steers leg? Do you still use black paint or not?

i had a white heifer last yr. this is what i did for big shows. prime time or tail to adhesive the legs. a coat of tail adhesive to build and additional coat of tail for more build. a coat of white ( i like the weaver white for the actual building). clipping. another coat of weaver white. and a coat of sullivans white to cover up any over sprays from other peoples, or on my steers white socks any over spray from the black.

weaver works really nice for building
sullivans works really nice for cover up of color problems. stains, overspray, etc.  so i use both. if you have to pick one id go with sullivans.

for smaller shows i didn't do quite as many coats. it depends on the show how much we used.
