Anyone else notice a trend here, there is a huge dividing line here we have the top maternal bulls and the top steer makers, but really nothing in between.

I think there are some bulls that can get it done both ways.  WMW, Sonny, and 734 can sire both pretty easily, and NI can to, if you're into showing Angus steers.  I think that some of these bulls made it this far because they CAN do it in more than one way.  Sure, HW and HS are just steer bulls, and Cunia is known for his females, but they have had such an epic impact on the show cattle industry that they have to be here.

I do notice a trend though, and there are less steer bulls than I thought there would be.

Full Flush should be on here.  One of the three major steer bloodlines (Flush, Heat Seeker, WMH).

What would it cost to have one straw of semen on all 8 of these bulls?? Other than Who i think the other 7 are commanding premium prices...

NI is still at 30, but yeah I bet the bill would rack up pretty fast!

How about taking it back a generation with Full Throttle. I was 14 the first time I went to Denver and I will never forget that it was also the first time Throttle calves were there. They were consistently so much better then any other sire group. To me Throttle and Double Stuff are the "foundation" sires of todays type of calves. It would be interesting to go back and see how and how many of the bulls are related.
