Looking for a low birthweight bull to use on a first time heifer...a bull that throws more bull calves than heifers...

What type of heifer are you breeding, what are your goals for this calf? My first goal with a heifer is a live calf that hopefully comes easy, If registered than a calf I can register. If your looking for a show steer then something calving ease Main. Unless you use sexed semen calf's sex is going to be a crap shoot.

Sorry, I'm late to the "party". I would recommend CARD Linebacker 56C, a 16.63% Chianina bull that we used on almost every breed of heifer, Angus, Charolais, Clubby (steers with heifer parts), Chianina, Chiangus, Shorthorn, Simmental & SimAngus. Most were first calf heifers. Birthweights varied but no problems. He's calving ease but produces vigorous, fast growing, good looking cattle. He has sired winners, bulls & heifers at The State Fair of Texas, Fort Worth Stock Show, Cattlemen's Congress as well as a ton of jackpots and county shows. He is currently available from Bovine Elite and Whispering Pines. His steers would probably validate as Angus. Any questions, feel free to contact me.
