Calf pictures!

After Chap got out his new camera my 10 year old decided that she needed to learn how to operate my digital camera.  She didn't do bad!

#1 is out of our herd bull (Meyer 734 X OCC Anchor cow) and a little cow that only stands 50 inches tall.  Murraya comes to her hip and she is only three months old!
#2 is out of Goldmine and a commercial cow.  We really like her, maybe next years show prospect.
#3 Our Hardcore bull calf out of a first calf heifer that is out of our herd bull.
#4 This is Caitlin's baby.  She is out of our herd bull and out of Caitlin's Play Ray cow.  She chased her around for an hour trying to get pictures.  She is only about two weeks old now.

Thanks Red, we are slowly building our herd.  We were finally able to buy a farm instead of renting pasture (from 27 acres of pasture to 130 acres total, 60 pasture, the remainder wooded)  and are trying to build the herd from within.  It is definitely a slow progress when you have 25 calves a year and less than a 1/4 are heifers!
