Any one know how the Steer show went at the stampede this year? Who was the Judge and results were the the results satisfactory.

I knew where he was going with his champion after his closing comments in which he stated he "... wanted a high yeilding steer, and this is where our breed, the charolais breed, does this the better than any other." I liked that champ calf, just thought he was a little stale for the day and got a little course through his front. IMO the reserve simmi, who was also champion steer at Lloyd earlier in the week, was one heck of a calf.cdncowboy said:Champion was a solid steer, maybe not exactly a "show steer" but solid none the less. Reserve wouldn't have been my choice for reserve, again not a bad choice though. Not nearly the political mess that has occurred the last couple years.
I do get the feeling that this show is in trouble though, not exactly sure how the numbers compare over the last few years. Just seemed to be a smaller show this year. There were just under 90 head this year, my opinion if it drops to 75 or lower it will likely be looking at the chopping block.
I know Wacey personally if you'd like contact info.saskman said:yeah he was but he was a very honest calf who are you cb and cdncowboy how do you guys know the mccaws cause mysrlf i would sure like to meet him
