Life will finally get a little calmer around our place now.  Finally got our calves shipped to the feedlot Saturday - they now reside just a few miles east of Cowboy's home.

Kept 67 heifers for replacements.  The best of the bunch was our only Friction calf last fall.

Palpated our whole mature cow herd for the first time ever.  We've got quite a few cows getting into the elderly category.  Even so, only had about 8% open.  All were either older than 10 or late calving heifers from last fall that didn't rebreed in a short window.  Looks like we'll be right around 60% success on our AI last fall.

Our pastures were so wet since mid-May, we had horrible foot rot problems for the last month.  I think the extremely wet conditions must have really hurt them in spite of lots of grass because our weights weren't as heavy as we expected.

Chambero- hope you're through the worst of it. Take a deep breath & go out & enjoy those boys & your wife. Wishing you the best.
