Have calved three cows so far and have four heifer calves.  Angus SAV Pioneer 4 days early on an angus chart (283 days), LHD Flawless Charolais one day over on a 285 day chart, and twin DJ Solution heifer calves on the day out of a Sim-Angus first calf heifer.  All are doing great.  The next round is due Feb. 9th.

We've had some early, some on time, and some late.    We seem to run in spurts, we'll have a calving day & then go a day with none.    Those are our AI's on first calf heifers sired by  In Dew Time, GCF/Brooks Warrier, Trademark, Dream On,

On Recips..  We had 2 heifer calves that came about a week early.  The recip due date was yesterday and I've got about 6 that look like they will go any moment now.

We've got one due 1/31, 2/2, and 2/3. Tuesday we thought we were in business. Had a cow hold-in her tail half way up, squaty, urinating all the time. We moved her into a calving pen and waited. I went out 10, 12 and then at 2am I went out and could have sworn I saw tips of hooves just barely out. I was looking from about 20' away. I ran back in the house to get my oldest boy to help. Came back out in a minute or two and nothin. She was acting normal like nothing happened. Thought well, we'll give her a little bit and check again, waited 45 mins to an hour and nothin. I never saw her laboring. So, the next day about noon I booted her back out with the rest of the cows and haven't seen her acting out of the ordinary since. ??? She's not due until 2/3 but I am worried about her. She's eatin normal and getting around as usual. I can't get any milk out of her utter. I don't know what to think. I've never had one act like this then everything just come to a screeching halt. Maybe I should have the vet out??? My oldest said I was just seeing things, could't have been hooves out. Maybe he's right. It was the middle of the night and according to him, I'm deaf and blind.
