Can it be done?

We have a killer slick steer that were thinkin about putting in the cooler for 4 weeks then go to state any chance ill have any decent hair is already starting to come back a little with work im sure that will speed up.  was wondering if anyone has trried this or know if it would work.

I think you would get some hair especially this time of the year.  Calves start putting it on in late summer so maybe he'll hair up pretty nice in a month.  I guess it just depends on how much you want to go to state.  Just give it a shot.

It can be done with the right calf.  As the days get shorter and cooler it will get easier. It will take a lot of work.

You will never know if you do not try, if the genetics are there and you put in the time and work you may be surprised, plus what to you have to loose in trying.
