Carneyman is not for heifers, although he doesn't sire extremely big calves. I would guess 85-95lbs. He works great on the old Emulous blood Angus and on some of the OCC blood. He has sired some real world females and occasionaly will throw show cattle. Have even seen some good bulls from him for commercial breeders, and to use as clean up.

I have a carneyman heifer that is a half sister to the hannibal dam of my Dirty Harry calf. Honestly in my opinion the carneyman is better than the hannibal, thicker made bigger boned, more flex to the hind leg and easier moving. She isnt as showy as the Hannibal though. Quite honestly if you took them both to a club calf sale the hannibal would bring more, but get the right buyers to look at the carneyman and she bring alot more than the hannibal(people that want heifers to look like cows not steers haha! (lol) ). Oh and birth weight was was 84 lbs. if I remember right. Heres a link to her pedigree at Maine Assoc. http://www.maine-anjou.org/pagedisplay.php?id=350083  Hope this helps!!!

I love Carneyman calves. birthweights sre from 80-90 pounds, you usually get a baldy, and when bred to occ cattle you get some awesome females.

I have used him on heifers with sucess.  He's double bred calving ease Witch Doctor and Meyer 734.  He  works rally well with angus.  He is a female maker deluxe and his bull/steer calves are not throw aways either.  If I remember right in an older Esposure sale catalog in a right up about him they mentioned that the daughters of his in the sale were all out of 1st alf heifers.  Right now the majority of the cows I want heifers out of are bred to Carney Man.

i have seen some really awesome heifer calves out of him  , however, i do not know ,  how they grow out.  A couple of years ago  i seen a one of the best heifers i everseen out of carneyman. That day  I decieded to breed a few to carneyman ( woulda used him earlier but breeding season was over for the year).  The calves i do have on the ground are pretty good
