Cattle and Lawyers

Often I think when we hear the word lawyer it has a negative connotation. However, this young lady is going to be on our side. As Chelsea states in the video she reads through the lens of a cattlemen. How will water regulations, tax laws, animals welfare changes affect us. I have often heard what the world needs is less lawyers, but if we can get more young ag people into law school maybe we can get a few more guys on our side.

Chelsea is a pretty awesome person. On Monday she accepted the position of Director of Communications for the Kansas Department of Agriculture. I commend anyone that goes back into production agriculture because we are going to need people to farm the land, but we are also going to need young people out there telling our story.
