Cattleking....Got any results from the Galveston Co. Fair???

I am dying to know how Cattleking's steer did.  That was one nice little red steer.  I have tried pulling up their website but no results are posted yet.  Hope Lil' Red did as good as I think he did!!

I was breed champ limi in the heifers and I know the Delasandri(sp) steer was grand. There was one row that was packed with good steers... The grand pig was from santa fe 4h..Grand lamb was from SF also if im not mistaken. Didn't care about the goats..lol Grand heifer was a beefmaster from High island... I helped a girl feed a pig this year..she got 2nd in class behind the grand pig. It isnt a huge fair, but its always fun.

The steer show is on May the 5th (Tuesday), It starts at 6:00 pm.  I hope you are able to make it, then we can finally meet face to face.  It looks like it is going to be a good show, I have seen some of the steers and they look good. 

Shelby's smokey steer is looking good and has been such an easy steer to raise.  This is the first steer that she has had where we have not had to cook any corn or barley and have not had to inject him with anything from him getting sick.  I wish that all of her steers from now on could be like that...wishfull thinking I guess!    Lisa

  <party>  Bumping up for Cattleking....I think he got Reserve Grand Champion Steer at a very TOUGH show!!  I hope that I am right with the information that was given to me.

Yup he got reserve, It was a really nice steer. I can agree on the quality of the steers there.  He also got reserve pen of three heifers tonight as well...congrats!

Livestock judging was today. I think he got 2nd high point individual junior. His team was 1st jr. I was high point senior. and my team was 3rd. I was the only experianced livestock judge on my team the others couldnt make it.. the other two have been on the team since thursday..LOL. I don't think they did bad for there first competition and with 2 days of practice!

Yes mrs. simmy mom i did get reserve overall.  Unexpected for sure! so how did yall do with your steer?
