Cervix??

Doing some clean up on a couple cows tonight and noticed on both of them that their cervix were very close to their vulva, usually I have to really get in there 5-6 inches but today both these girls were maybe 3 inches in. I have bred these girls for a couple years and never noticed this before. Anyone else experience this? Or am I crazy and just botched a breeding?

A lot of times what happens is cows that do a lot of riding while in estrus will pile everything up right inside their vulva/ anus. Sometimes you have to even manipulate all of their reproductive anatomy to put it back near the proper place it belongs. What you experienced is not uncommon.
