Both myself and my uncle have used Alias on some PB shorthorn cows and we had really good success with him. Had an Alias x Kool cow that won her class at the Junior National show in 09 and my uncle had an Alias steer out of an old school pedigree shorthorn cow and he sold the steer for $5,000 so that was our only experience using a Char cross bull on shorthorns but it worked pretty good. hope this helps

FROM what I have heard so far and looking at the cow ,HF is my pick with the Chunky Monkey bull ,and he is as proven a purebred bull as there is to pick from that I know of ...aNOTHER  THOUGHT  THOUGH IS USING chunky's son STUD MONKEY because of the neck he has and the Shorthorn cow could use a little cleaning up there for clubbies ....
There is a bull down south a purebred and Ihave a couple so I think I can see what he does is DOUGHBOY...HE will definitely make them smaller with some butt and in a nice package that are pretty clean up front ...They will be real easy calving ....contact HOWDY  TUCKER ,  He has some HOODOO in him also ....

Chris I am not on here to get in a pissin match with anyone,,the breeder wanted a suggestion on a bull for his cow.  Bud heavy is not a creek,,he is a nice made charolais purebred bull,,thats my opinion.  Not tryin to downplay your bull by calling him common for the clubby deal,,,,lots of bulls in the breed are to common for the clubby scene,,,,as a breeder, you should know that
