This is one of four calves we have had from the Progress 7308- bull we sold to Phil Tripp an John Chism in Kentucky.  She will sell in our bid-off that closes on 10-11-09--at the ranch, tried to put some of the best heifers  we had for reg. Angus & charolais .   This heifer is out of a Unlimited Ease 9108 daughter an a daughter of the 702 donor cow that has done well for us ...In my opinion she is pretty good but I also have a idea of what her grandmother has produced in the past..  The calves out of the Progress bull with what we have are very excited about ..Have at her though you won't bother me , I've been in it to long , an I still listen to other opinion's though.

I think you have to appreciate her depth of body and cow appeal. Her neck might need some cleaning up but you can do that with all the whistle fronted bulls we have today. I think she would cross well as a club calf momma and yet be able to go on in a purebred herd and be productive as well. Nice complete heifer that you can appreciate for all the right reasons.

This heifer just screams MOMMA COW!  She could be cleaner fronted but with the overall mass that she brings to the table I can deal with a little extra thoat.

i'd like to see less fat on the side of her neck.  i've always liked Charolais.  they always seemed to grow in spite of their relative to chi etc shorter snouts.  my uncle had them for years, maybe since the late 60's.  i always thought they were really beautiful.  they didn't ever seem to take care of themselves like his herefords, but were very nice cattle.  i'd probably like to see her a little more square, particularly on her front end to be more under herself.  might just be the slope of the hill.  i'd like to see her shoulder bits lay in a little bit flatter and be a tick less open fronted and be more open behind her shoulders.  minor though.

Gotta like her overall bodie dimension and true red meat.  To be picky, a little cleaner neck would be nice, but if her nose was tipped up a little more in the picture you may not notice her neck as much. we don't need to make them all look like show steers.  Some need to look like breeding females that can live on grass.

I like her.

Nice well balanced complete heifer Jamie & she does look like she'll be able to survive whatever environment that she ends up in. Brent

I really like her sire, he's sounder than a house cat, easy going and legs bigger than a fence post
with a foot to match.

Do they have any calves out of him down south?  That bull doesn't have the clubby front but his daughters bred to the clubby bulls will be stars in production, IMO!  He looks like a Hoo Doo with No Hoo Doo!  IMO
