This bull is Me 'N My Hawkeye 22W.  He 's out of my very first shorthorn cow HC Daffodil 21T. She was the very first Salute calf to sell at auction in Canada.  I bought her from Horseshoe Creek in the Fever Sale. She is an River Acres Daffodil daughter, who is out Highfield Irish Mist.  The bull is out of Saskvalley Pioneer who was Canadian National Champion in 2006.  He may be for sale......He is halterbroke and has been clipped......and is soooooooooooo quiet........ sorry the pictures aren't the greatest.....I have more pictures....... <party>    - Lil' Hilltop -  <party>

Awesoem calf.  Gotta love that butt!  This is getting me excited, as I have some Salutes coming any day now, and then want to breed my cows to Pioneer this year :)

Lil' Hilltop... I wish you didn't live so far away... I would like to see Hawkeye again.... Well, maybe he is good enough for me to make the 20 mile treck over to your place!  He really looks like he has done very well over the winter. I really liked him when he was on his mom and it looks like he has continued on great. He looks so much like Pioneer did. I have attached a picture of his Salute mom that I snapped before you purchased her, and also a picture of her dam River Acres Daffodil 5H.  I think you have some pictures of this guys dam. Post a couple if you have some, as she is developing into a super cow.

As I have mentioned on here before, I have had no issues with any Salute offspring, and I think we live in one of the harsher climates that can test any animal or any bloodline. I love my Salute daughters in production, they are great uddered, and are staying in excellent condition and they have all calved unassisted.

'Lil Hilltop,

Your bull looks excellent. I'm sure you'll be gettin' a visit from JIT. 20 miles is nothin' for him with the miles he puts on in a year. Good luck, I'm sure you are going to be wearing alot of smiles and getting your pic taken with this guy a few times this year.

This is a picture of HAWKEYE'S Mom, HC Daffodil 21T  She looks kind of tough because of the cold winter and the 2 cycles that she had already this year. She is one of the best uddered cows in our herd. We are planning on breeding her to Star P Matrix 4N!!!! :)      ----    Lil' Hilltop----SadieA.
