I need opinions. What do you thinkis harder to clip? A colored animal or a black animal? I believe that a black animal is way  easier to clip. my parents have never clipped or fit an animal in their life, and they are trying to argue with me that a colord animal is way easier to clip. Again being the only one in my family that has ever touched a clipper and with the expierence of clipping a colored calf and a black calf i can say that its easier to clip a black calf. I would like all your opinions!
Thanks!

Color may be a factor, but extremely small at best.  The attitude of the calf is really the only factor which makes the job harder/easier.  I think what so many don't realize is that clipping a calf is just like painting a mural or sculpting a Totem Pole.  If you can't vision the finished product before you start clipping, you don't have a great chance of getting it right.  As Steven Covey would say, "Begin with the end in mind".

yep, Once you clip enough of them its all about how well the animal acts for whoever is clipping. But most important is either you got it or ya don't, no matter what calf it is, from pasture cattle to cooler cattle a quality clip job depends on the person and calf working together in unison to create a masterpiece.

solid red animals. Nicks show immediately. The black hair is little more forgiving. The only way though to get better is to clip clip and clip.

All of this is true, but I'd say hair quality is a bigger factor than color. That said, pink hided pure white one's are the biggest challenge to me - maybe it's just me, but that color makes it hard for me to see what I'm doing.

Color really isn't that big of a deal, but quality of hair makes a huge difference. One of my buddy's would always say "I can turn money into gold, but I can't turn s**t into money". My biggest pet peeve is when you tell a kid plenty of time in advance what time you'll be there and you show up on time and their washing their calf or still trying to get it blown out.

honestly i think anything herford is almost imposible to clip pure bred simmis can be hard because they also have wavy/curly hair and some of the char bloodlines also have wavy hair  O0
other than that its mostly the nature of the calf and hair quality
