Without looking at the cows and you describing them as club calf cows, I would say you should use a calving ease purebred Black Angus bull. I guess if it was me, I would be a little worried about large calves without the ability to calve them out on their own with clubby cows. The first priority has to be to get the highest percentage of live calves as possible. Personally, I have a commercial herd of Black Angus crossbred cows consisting of a lot of different breeds. The bull I have out on them is a 3/4 Shorthorn bull. He's pictured to the left. I will be using Angus, Shorthorn, and Maine Anjou genetics to get my final products.

If by commercial you mean salebarn calves I would recommend a low birthweight Charolais (below.5 should be no troubles at all on any mature cow and most well managed heifers).  The calves will grow like weeds and any smokes or yellows you get will be a premium at the barn even up to and above blacks

Red Northline Fat Tony, he's the 2011 U.S. National Red Angus champion from Denver. His calves are averaging 78 pounds at birth and grow. He has a big hip and huge topped. I posted pictures last week on here of him and some of his calves. I know a couple club calf herds have used him already. He's on Northlineangus.ca website
