Just thought some of you in the midwest might be interested in attending a sale Monday night in Keosauqua Iowa (southeast Iowa). It is a new sale and I thnk we have a great set of calves. We have some purebred shorthorns, simmis, crossbreds, maines and shorthorn plus calves. Many will be very reasonably priced and all will be halter broke and weaned.
We have 30-40 calves in the sale and there will be something for everyone.
Keosauqua is located in the SE corner of Iowa, close to Missouri and Illinios. If you need directions just let me know!

My FFA group will be serving a hamburger meal.

Thank you.

Will the heifers all be tested for defects, or will they go by the parentage rule...

Sale on a Mon... prob won't come, if it were on the weekend, I'd be there... rained, and I'm only 1/2 hr from Keokuk...  Don't think I'd be able to get away on a Mon though..

Due to this being our first sale, we do not have a catalog. I guess looking back we should have, but too late now.
I can only speak of my consignments, but my heifers are free by parentage, defect free, but I will stand behind a test (and pay for it) if the buyer so choses.
I can post pics on here of my calves, later tonight when I get my new computer running (this one doesn't have photo download) or I can PM them to people that want them, either way.
Like I said, I am proud of the calves I am taking and think there will be some nice calves sold for very reason money.

kfacres, I sure hope you try and make the short trip! The sale starts at 7:30pm to allow folks time to do chores and travel to the sale. If you make it, be sure and look me up and say hello!

frostback, you must be a politician... always taking things out of context. Are you sure you are not a peta or sierra club member? They seem to be really good at that.
That statement was  in reference to cattle with carrier pedigrees. I will guarantee any animal free of defects and will pay for the test if buyer so desires.
But you can take my statement to mean whatever you want frostback,  I am sure you are right.

For those interested, please PM me and I will get you photos of my calves I have in the sale. Thank you for your interest.

I could do a little more searching where you also stat that you cannot believe the pedigrees from breeders also..  clubbie breeders are all crooks you know.

I forgot to add: All my calves are free due to their parents being tested of all known defects of their respective breed.  Sorry for that omission.  But again, I will test anything.

For those that inquired I sent you photos. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
