Collection costs

Curious about the costs of having a bull collected? I am sure that there is a set cost, and a per straw basis. This is a bull that would go up and come home in the same day preferably. We're in Iowa, so I am guessing the logical places are Nichols and Hawkeye, any preferences toward one or the other?

Hawkeye has Thursdays set up for commercial collection of bulls. They like to have a phone call ahead, but if not, you just wait your turn. Usually it runs under 2.00 per unit if everything goes well. You would want to call & talk to them about different fee schedules, such as if you end up dumping the collection. Most are so much if you dump them @ the barn & another price if you have to dump it @ the lab and so forth.
