how much do you think it would cost to put in a 12x 30 cooler in and how much to keep it going during th e year

We bought a used about that size, it came from a grocery that had gone out of business for $2000.00.  It will cost anywhere from 200-400 per month in our area to run a cooler that size at around 60 degrees, it may be cheaper where you are at.

i want a cool room big enough for one calf to be tied so...i saw the amish mini barns, i thought they looked fine with a few tweaks and some bedding would be good

Farmboy, for what one of those buildings would cost plus all the extra insulation you would have to add to it you could build a room in your barn cheaper.

MY BARN IS 40 OR SO YEARS OLD AND MOST OF IT IS FILLED WITH THE ORIGINAL LUMBER IT WAS BUILT WITH...THERES VERY LITTLE ROOM AND IF I DID BUILD ONE, NO DOUBT SOME BODY WOULD STEAL MY FANS AND STUFF DOWN THERE (BARN IS AT BOTTOM OF HILL AND CANT BE MONITORED) BECAUSE EVERY BODY AROUND HERE...WELL YOU CATCH MY DRIFT
