Why are these dogs so popular with the show cattle industry. I know absolutely nothing about them, I'm just curious. Cute dogs.

Part Timer- I personally do not know why they are so popular. We love them and they love the cows, so I guess it's a win-win situation.

IMO, there are several reasons they are popular for those involved in show cattle.  They are small which makes for any easy travel companion.  They are also very intelligent and obedient.  For a herding breed, they can be the least agressive.  They are also very good around people including children.

We have one and love him.  Don't get agressive with the cattle but is a good companion around them.

They were bred for herding and short legs so that when cows kick they are low enough that it goes over their heads. They are also very quick and intelligent.

Are all 10 from the same litter, and what color are the parents?  Those are good looking puppies.

yes, they are all from the same litter. She had 11 pups! The parents are sable, but a couple of the grandparents of the pups were tri colored. I'm guessing that's why their are the tri colored and sables.

Awesome puppies! I got to meet up with the litter on Sunday at the Ozark empire fair, and everyone of them had personality plus. We finally selected a sable female, and the entire family wishes we would of added a corgi to our family sooner: )  she has never whined,  plays hard, and sleeps on her back. Too funny! Vet check told us she is just perfect (she does have a little cough but that could be due to spending several days at the fair under fans). I highly suggest this breed they are just perfect. And this litter was all fun. How many do you have left?

These are GREAT puppies! We bought a female the end of July from this litter, and she is the BEST dog we have ever owned! Very mild tempered, sleeps when you are still and gets up and goes when we go. We have had Healers and Aussies, and like the Corgi the best of all! Highly recommended.

Hi.
I am interested in a female pup if you have any left. Could you possibly post some pics of the females? Thank you!
