cow is late

my cow was due exactly 6 days ago. she is a shorthorn bred to thriller. should i be worried about this

We just had one go 9 days over. As long as she is progressing along like she is going to calve I wouldn't worry too much

+10 days is not uncommon.  The calf will come when it is ready.  Resist the urge to induce unless your vet advices it.

should i be worried about how big it will be (every day its in there it will get bigger wont it) i dont want a train wreck

We have a Shorthorn cow that has been 2 weeks overdue on both of her calves. Both calves also weighed about 75#s. Just keep an eye on her.

Particularly first calf heifers seem to be late. We had a crossbreed heifer bred to a Charolais bull and I was worried about size but it turned out okay almost 3 weeks overdue
