I actually posted on here having the same problem earlier. Alot of guys around here in nebraska have been having the same problem and most of us are chalking it up to just how hard and long our winter was. I am starting to see some come into heat now but for the most part it is slow and we finally decided to turn the bull in and only had a handfull bred ai.

Had a huge problem with heats last year....this year on embryologist's advice, we amped up the energy.  so far we've got 25 embryos implanted, compared to 5 or 6 at this time last year....

Increase energy and you should see positive results....

Do you know of any toxin level issues in your corn/silage.  I know that this can cause reproductive issues.  Just a thought.

No it won't effect them forever. Have you gotten the results from the toxin tests yet? How many days post partem are your cows and how old are they, ie. first calf heifers will taker longer to cycle. What are your average  BCS?

Thank god it wont affect them forever  ;D No i have not gotten the results back my dad just sent them in yesterday, our cattle ages range from 1-24 years old. The heifers aren't coming into heat either but they have came in before does heifers take longer to cycle?
