We all know how calves can change and this is only my judgement from one picture. I would like to see more outward turn to his forerib and depth of body. I dont know his age but he does seem a little on the larger side. Its hard to see from a structural standpoint but he looks acceptable with just a quick glance. At this time i think i would cut him. Thank you SP has been a little boring lately.

He looks too straight in younger pictures but has improve according to the top pic. He is also profiling nicely there. Does he toe out bad up front? If good steer material, I would cut him. Otherwise he looks like he could sire some nice calves.

Just some answers to questions , Telos -the top picture was taken by another young man an he was the oldest in that picture.
They say  he doesn't toe out , I just saw him in the pasture an need to see him on smooth ground ....Unbelievably tame  an good disposition .....I think
he is a little straight in that shoulder but need to see him in a corral to look at him better .  Different pictures can make or break you ,video I rely on a lot more than a straight picture  .

For me there seems to be too many questions about his front end structure. I think that when he takes the first few steps in the video that he doesn't have enough flex in his knee joints. Being an Alias on top of that, I would have to vote to cut him and question whether or not that he'll stay sound enough to sell as a project steer. JMO. Good Luck with him Jamie. Brent

When you analyze a calf in depth you can get very picky. Even though this is a very fancy calf with a pretty look, he has some concerns.

I personally would like what everyone has said... His overall capacity, forerib and steep design are probably what I would question too.

After viewing the video he is defiantly a cut. Front leg and shoulder structure are wrong and to much flex in back legs. But the way Feddy is feeding us pictures a bit at a time(soap opera like) it would not suprise me to see the next picture of him with a purple banner. Very entertaining.

Some of these bigger joints we are getting in cattle don't bother me as much, not enough flex at this age does.  If I was in the pasture, I don't think I'd risk him as my project steer if I could only have one.  If he holds together, he'll be cool.  That being said, I'd cut him.  But then again, you have already named him, and most steers don't get that treatment, and I've seen less sound bulls promoted.

From what I can see in the video , he is not right in his front end and looks like he will buck over. Especially with what he is out of , if they show signs of that now with those genetics they will get worse with time. Cut

Sorry Freddy but I really don't like his front end either.  Looks like as a calf he tended to buck over in the knees.  Cut
