Danger to your cows from excessive ice...what can you do to help?

I remember one year at the AGR show a steer sliped on the ice by the wash rack. He broke his leg. Very sad for the kid.
Another family had their best show heifer fall & aborted her calf.

we spread alot of cornstalks in the path to the bales or just put several in a row and let the cows spread them around this weather has sucked we have had our hands full wiith this ice, Kurt drives the tractor over the ice alot back and forth and tries to make grooves in it if he can with the loader too to at least make some footing
