Dark hooves, like cowboys in black hats, signify evil.
White hooves, like cowboys in white hats mean good.
I think that covers it
actually I think there is some thought maybe backed up by science, maybe not, that darker hooves are harder/more durable - I don't think that is true of black hats vs white
