it takes time to call about a bull. I would hate to waste time and money making a call and him be something im not interested in at all sire and dam info isn't much to ask for before we waste our time

well he is good and if you think it will be wasting time and money to call me then I guess its your loss when you are wanting to breed your cows to him next year instead of owning part of him

You cant know who is a potential buyer and who is not, even on the phone. Its really not that hard to answer pm's or reply to your post. Your gonna get a lot of people who dont have the slightest bit of interest in owning him, but then again you might. I have had the most serious interests on my calf that I had for sale come through pm's and I'd give them more info through the pm's and then they ended up calling me when they got the further information, they liked or didnt like that info and then they called if it was something that fit their program. Also I dont see how releasing the pedigree is a big deal, because if you say he's a gonna be a display bull, the first thing people are gonna look at besides the bull(which I see there is no pic) is the pedigree. I'm just sayiing these would be some things to think about putting in your ad that would draw some more interest, but maybe you already have the interest sold, I dont know, but those are just some suggestions.

Oh, and I think it takes just as much time to post on here as it does make a phone call, but if you're not willing to cater to all inquireries you're not going to get the maximum potential of interest on your calf.

Kinda hard to know if I am interested if I have no clue what he is or what he looks like other than "he's awesome."

LOL!  This post is killing me.  I'm now with steerjockey on this one.  He told you the price and the sire......that should give you an idea of what's going on as far as the breed(crossbred).  If you want a pic just call the guy.  If you truly are interested that shouldn't be that big of a deal.

I know some people have done things a different way but this is his way...respect it.

I agree. If I had the money, I'd be pretty interested, so why waste Mr. Gonnett's time if I don't?  I am pretty interested in hearing how that little Rainmaker heifer sold.

well the first thing you should have learned in advertising and business school is the customers always right and not to be a ignorant ass hole that thinks his damn bull is so high and mighty that he wont post pedigree info or just one pic. you have to draw customers in with something even if its just his sire and dam and one pic ,of course you dont want people wasting your time but you'll have that on a big job but the people that are serious about him will let you no thats how you establish relationships and maybe oneday one of those buyers that weren't serious will come back to you and purchase something thats the way i look at it but its your add so do what you want  but you should seriously rethink your strategy.

Ok, I'm also gonna disagree and stand up for him. It seems every time he puts something on this happens. Not to be rude but most people on here are just nosy window shoppers. If he doesn't want to put it up until someone talks to him then so be it. I've taken the time to call him before, Very knowledgeable individual who is not out to screw everyone over as it seems everyone tries to make him look like.

I've talked to him before too, and he seemed genuinely interested in finding me the best calf for my money, and was very honest with his opinions of the calves I was interested in.

This young fella has caught grief on this website for along time. Most of the time it has been tire kickers, and some folks who don't have a clue.I have defended him befor, and shall again. Sometimes I don't agree with his stratigies, but I do know this: He sells alot of calves, raises quite a few himself that are damn good cattle. He is one of very few youngsters that I would trust to buy a calf sight unseen. Most of the guff he has recieved on this web page has been uncalled for.Hang in there Raymond and proceed as you see fit,it's your bull, good luck and happy trails.
