Well, it seems to be my year for foot problems. We had a heifer get stepped on in tie outs Monday morning. Her inside dew claw on one leg was basically torn off. She is not limping, and she is not swollen, but that dew claw is just hanging there. I am not sure what the best course of action is. I really don't want her to tear it off, and she is a pretty good heifer that we raised ourselves. We move in to the IL state fair next Tuesday, so time is a bit short. If anyone has any ideas as to the best course of action that would be awesome. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

if its just hanging there have the vet take it of the rest of the way close it up and put antibiotics on it.

I had a hereford heifer that did the same thing a few years ago at the show, and she tore it off and she still showed and won her devision at the show...
