85 degrees, Sunny, and Balmy here in SW Lower Michigan!!  (lol)

But seriously, the wind was bad last night but we only had about a foot or so new snow.  Not as bad as I have seen in the past either.  However, I do not recall a storm ever being this widespread across the country.

Oh, and the weatherman on TV, did say we now have a total accumulation of 90.5 inches of snowfall so far for this winter.  Our normal snowfall is about 51 inches at this same time of the year.  <party>

I snow plowed for about six hours today, digging everything out.

I heard last night that Al Gore blamed the snow storm on global warming.  Good thing he invented the internet or he'd be useless.

I thought we came out pretty good with 14-15 inches, 1.5 inches of sleet, 1/4 inch of ice.  The roads will suck when the snow gets knocked off and then the ice will remain.    The wind hasnt been as bad as they predicted either.  Funny, walked into a local establishment and the ......pop cave was MUCH warmer than outside.  HAB - I have no idea how ya'll do it up there!  Those are some redicuous numbers that would have our part of the country literally screaming prayers up above!  LOL  In fact, they just called school for the rest of the week.

coachmac, I can't deny that I have been looking up and asking why I live here this year too.  We will be setting up for some serious flooding again come Spring.  I have lived here my whole life, I won't say a person can get used to it, but you do learn how to tolerate it.  We had a 50 degree temp swing from yesterday a.m.  The cows sure seem happy about it.

It is like the twighlight zone here in central Ohio. 3/4 of a inch of ice covering all roads except the main ones. Ice wont melt. Spread well over 6000 lbs of salt and just spent the last 60 of 72 hours sitting in my truck plowing up this mess. People falling all the time. Trees down everywhere. My helper was walking into the wind pushing a salt spreader on the parking lot and the wind was pushing him backwards. He was stuck lol. The ice is so thick on the roads the salt just melts a little hole but wont break it up. No salt to be found until next week at the earliest. Everybody is sold out.  Now with the cold its lookin like this may be here for awhile. My road looks like a zambonie just drove over it gettin ready for a hockey game. It has been a profitable year for running a snow removal business tho. Its been a endurance contest. This keeps up and I will have some money burning a hole in my pocket come time for Rob Sneed's sale  :) :) Im ready for spring.
