I have seen the episode you aer talking about and found it to be more revealing then I had expected. I would not be surprised if it didn't really get some people a little upset.

Yes, that was GROSS, wouldn't want that job for all the $$ in the world.  Can you imagine the smell??

It was a rendering plant.  They actually showed the trucks coming in with the parts from the butcher, showed it being ground up,  the vats and tubs of ground up crud, showed them salting the hides and stacking them, it was a process you couldn't imagine without having seen the show.  And you are correct, I'm suprised they didn't get nasty mail and phone calls on that one.

Yes it was very eye-opening to say the least.  Every single part of the cow was used. 

Mike did mention that they have been trying to to do the job, but they couldn't finding a rendering service to let them film their operation.

I can't remember seeing a more dirty job.
